The FPSC Foundation's mission is to promote research and education on financial planning for the benefit of all Canadians. The FPSC Foundation has engaged PlanPlus to carry out an environmental scan of research carried out between 2003 and today, from Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and the United States, in the field of financial planning. The principal objective of this exercise is to try and highlight research areas where there may be gaps that may warrant FPSC Foundation focus.

This is not intended to review the research in any manner but rather to aggregate and document its existence in some broad based categories. One survey must be completed for each individual paper and will take less than 5 minutes to complete. This study will run from April 2010 and conclude by September 2010.
